DOUBLE WINNER—St. Helens’ Chelsea Collson won two events in Tuesday’s double dual NWOC meet at Sherwood.
ADVERTISEMENTS
The St. Helens Lady Lions swam well against Sherwood last week, but were unable to unseat the Lady Bowmen in a very close meet. They lost 90-80.
The meet was a double dual and the Lady Lions easily posted a win over Wilsonville.
The boys kept it fairly close, but lost to Sherwood, and were edged by two points against Wilsonville, 85-83. They lost to Sherwood, 99-65.
Part of the difference in the meet with Sherwood for the Lady Lions may have come in the relays, where they won just one of the three events. They did have five individual firsts. They won every event against Wilsonville.
Swimming on the winning 200 medley relay team were Chelsea Collson, Amy Gainer, Kaitlyn Stroda, and Theresa Quennoz. Collson had individual wins in the 50 free and the 100 back. Stroda added a win in the 100 fly, Gainer won the 100 free, and Adena Fenrich won the 500 free.
For the boys, Sam Lawrence won the 100 free and Austin Sanford won the 200 individual medley against Sherwood. Meet results:
